The Starke County Council discussed approving the Special Solid Waste Management and North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation budgets for 2024 during their meeting last week.
The total estimated budget for solid waste was announced as $299,997. In their previous meeting, the council held a public hearing with no public comments made. During their meeting last week, Council President Dave Pearman entertained a motion to approve the Special Solid Waste Management 2024 budget. A motion was made and seconded. The majority of the council voted in favor with Councilman Bruce Bennett opposed. The budget was adopted.
The council also discussed approving the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation 2024 budget. In their previous meeting, a public hearing was held with no public comments made. It was announced the total budget is estimated at $13,860,675. Council President Dave Pearman entertained a motion to approve the 2024 budget for North Judson-San Pierre. A motion was made and seconded. The council adopted the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation 2024 budget unanimously by vote.
