The Winamac Town Council members opened a public hearing Monday to take comments on the proposed 2024 budget.
According to the Indiana Gateway website, the total budget is $1,999,615 which includes $87,000 in Local Income Tax, $112,000 in the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund, $170,925 in the Park Fund, $12,100 in the Cemetery Fund, $29,000 in Cumulative Capital Development, $260,000 in the Economic Development Income Tax Fund, $73,000 in the Sanitation Fund, with $1,182,990 in the general fund among others.
Winamac Town Manager Brad Zellers told WKVI News there were no public comments made during the hearing.
The council members are scheduled to adopt the budget on October 9 at 6 p.m. ET during their regular meeting at the Winamac Utilities Complex.
