The Knox City Council went through the second reading of the 2024 Salary Ordinance during their meeting last week.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok announced that employees who work for the City of Knox will see a five percent hourly pay raise in 2024. He added elected officials will see a three percent hourly increase as well. It was noted the City of Knox Police Department received an eight to ten percent increase earlier this summer.
The council members voted unanimously to adopt the salary ordinance.
