Knox City Council Discusses Halloween Events Scheduled in Knox

The Knox City Council discussed Halloween events scheduled this month during their meeting last week.

It was announced this year’s Trunk or Treat will be held Sunday, October 29. City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok stated over 20 Starke County businesses have already registered to pass out candy to trick-or-treaters at Wythogan Park in Knox. He stated the event will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT.

On October 31, trick-or-treating is in Knox from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. CT. Following the trick or treat hours, costume judging will be held at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center. Prizes for best costume will be given per each age group. Age group one is 0-3 years old. Group two is 4-7 years old. Group three is 8-11 years old and group four is 12-16 years of age. Best group and family costumes will also be awarded as well as refreshments available to those in attendance.

Additionally, a Trunk or Treat event is scheduled for Saturday, October 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT at the Starke County Justice Center at 5435 E. State Road 8 in Knox.
