The Starke County Commissioners were updated on the current solar projects going on in Starke County during their meeting Monday.
Starke County Highway Superintendent Dan Dipert announced the Mammoth Solar project should have all solar panels delivered by December. He added by February of 2024 all solar panels involved with the Mammoth Solar project should be fully installed.
Dipert told WKVI News the Mammoth project is currently three to four months behind than what was originally expected. He stated after the panels have all been installed, Mammoth will then test each panel before the project is completely finished. At this time, they are expected to be completed by April of 2024.
Dipert went on to announce the NextEra project is currently having 11.3 miles of road grading done this week. He added NextEra hired Town and County Paving to do the work.
