Knox Board of Public Works Approves New Hire at Police Department

The Knox Board of Public Works discussed a potential new hire with the police department during their meeting last week.

Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith recommended the board to approve the hire of Nathan Chambers as a patrolman. It was noted that Chambers has been working with the police department over the last two months in efforts to be officially hired for the position.

A motion was made to approve the hire of Nathan Chambers to the police department. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote. In a follow up, Chief Smith told WKVI News the police department is now fully staffed.
