Starke County Commissioners Convert Positions at Sheriff’s Department

The Starke County Commissioners discussed converting positions at the Sheriff’s department during their meeting Monday.

Starke County Sheriff Jack Rosa formally asked the commissioners to convert a road sergeant position and a deputy position into corporal positions. He said the primary reason for this is to have more supervision especially during the night shift.

A motion was made to approve converting a road sergeant and a deputy to corporal positions. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
