The Starke County Commissioners heard from Surf Internet during their meeting Monday.
It was announced Surf Internet is already bringing broadband internet to the town of North Judson, the City of Knox and the Koontz Lake area. Those projects are currently underway but Surf isn’t wanting to stop there.
Jim Morris of Surf Internet was present to express interest in providing broadband internet to the San Pierre area. He stated just like the previous projects going on in North Judson, Knox and Koontz Lake, Surf will walkout the San Pierre area to assist in design and preparation of burying all broadband internet cables.
No action was taken by the commissioners as this was a formal update on the current projects Surf Internet is doing in Starke County. As of now there is no exact date on when the San Pierre project will be complete but work is underway.
