City of Knox Freeze Warning Still in Effect

The City of Knox is still under a Freeze Warning for all water customers.

Knox Mayor Dennis Estok told WKVI News, due to the freezing temperatures the City of Knox has been experiencing over the last week, it is still recommended that Knox residents leave water running from only one faucet (preferably the bathtub faucet) the size of pencil lead until further notice. He went on to say this will not only help resident’s pipes from freezing but also help keep the city’s water lines running smoothly for water access. He stated even though temperatures have reached above freezing this week, thawed ice that has soaked into the ground can freeze quickly overnight if temperatures dip below freezing.

Mayor Estok stated customers will be charged their average bill during this time until the freeze warning is lifted.
