The Knox Board of Public Works heard an update from Street Superintendent Jeff Borg during their meeting Wednesday.
Borg announced 253 dump truck loads of brush were picked up last year. He went on to say 76 dump truck loads of leaves and grass were from picked up and also dropped off at the provided location. He then stated 238 tons of leaves in total were picked up by vacuum throughout the City of Knox.
Borg stated collecting this data is required by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) in efforts to submit a Registered Compost Facilities Report. He said the report was submitted to IDEM at the beginning of this month.
