The Pulaski County Commissioners heard an update on the courthouse project during their meeting Tuesday.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer announced they have made enough project revisions to bring the project within their budget while not cutting any corners. He went on to say they still have some details to work out regarding the HVAC system.
Origer said they are also working toward presenting a base bid along with alternate bids regarding the building’s windows. He went on to say other than the HVAC details and windows, the architects are just about ready to commit the agreed upon changes to drawing so that they can move forward with the rebidding process.
In a previous story, it was announced the original bids received came in about $3.5 million over where the county needed them to be. Origer has been working with Tonn and Blank to review and revise the project scope in efforts to put seven or eight bid categories out for re-bid.
