The Starke County Commissioners appointed several new members to various boards and also announced open positions during their meeting Tuesday.
Joanne Gappa was appointed to the North Judson-Wayne Township Library Board. Carl Goodrich was appointed to the Aviation Board. Dr. Walter Fritz was appointed to the Hospital Community Board. Phil Olinger and Tori Chessor were both appointed to the PTABOA Board. Emily White and Jayson Shaffer were then appointed to the Community Corrections Advisory Board.
A few board and commission appointments remain for the Starke County Commissioners.
The commissioners are seeking two people for the K-IRPC Board which oversees grant funding for Northwest Indiana, an innkeeper to occupy a seat on the Starke County Convention and Visitor’s Commission, and one seat on the Internal Controls Committee. Accountant knowledge would help greatly in an Internal Controls Committee appointee.
