The Starke County Commissioners heard a solar update involving road grading during their meeting Monday.
Starke County Highway Interim Superintendent Rachel Oesterreich informed the commissioners that Next Era has contracted with Town and Country to grade roads in the Next Era project area 2 days each week. She added the highway department’s foreman goes out weekly to make sure the roads in the Next Era project area are being graded. She went on to tell commissioners if there is ever a problem with that area to let the highway department know immediately.
Oesterreich said it is on the books to have all the roads involved in the Next Era project paved by the summer of 2025.
