Starke County Commissioners Open Bids for Annex #2 Project

The Starke County Commissioners opened bids regarding engineering fees for a remodel project of the Annex #2 building during their meeting last week.

The proposed project is to enclose the existing courtyard at 108 North Pearl Street in Knox for new office and conference room space. The project includes new offices, conference rooms, windows, doors, stairs, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Starke County Maintenance Director Ricky Green provided the bids received to the commissioners for review. The first bid received came from CTC Associates in the amount of $4,750. The second bid opened was from SRKM Architecture in the amount of $7,100. The third bid opened came from Lancer Associates Architecture in the amount of $12,000. The fourth bid received came from James F. Giannini & Associates in the amount of $22,775. The fifth and final bid came from T2 Design Architecture in the amount of $26,250.

Starke County Commissioner Mark Gourley made a motion to approve the engineering fees from SRKM Architecture with the bid amount of $7,100 pending review by county attorney Justin Schramm. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
