The Starke County Highway Department’s new security camera system installation is ahead of schedule.
In a previous story, Starke County IT Director Stanley Budd stated the estimated install date would take place some time in March. In December, the Starke County Commissioners unanimously approved a quote from Verkada for the new security camera system. It was announced the quote included setup, installation of 12 cameras and a five-year licensing agreement. The total amount came in at $24,041.64.
In a follow up interview, Budd told WKVI News, Aptek out of Indianapolis will be doing the installation work. He added he was contacted on Monday and was told they are ahead of schedule and plan to begin installation late this week or early next week.
