Eastern Pulaski School Board Adopts Bus Replacement Amendment

The Eastern Pulaski School Board adopted a bus replacement amendment during their meeting Monday.

Eastern Pulaski School Superintendent Dara Chezem told WKVI News it is currently very difficult to get school buses and that prices of school buses have gone up considerably. She stated the amendments discussed by the board were to include the purchase of only one white mid bus instead of two along with a yellow school bus. She stated the board approved the amendment as well as the purchase of a new school van.

Chezem stated a smaller vehicle would allow the corporation to transport an individual student or a small group of students when necessary. She added the van meets the requirements as a school-appropriate vehicle.
