Knox Board of Public Works Approves Police Department Hiring

The Knox Board of Public Works discussed hiring a new police officer during their meeting last week.

Knox City Police Deputy Chief Kenny Pfost announced the department had a police officer resign the week prior. He recommended the board approve the hire of Mathew Borkholder in order to fill the vacant position. He added Borkholder was the alternate choice from the previous hiring process and that he is still interested in filling the position. Pfost stated Borkholder has also signed the conditional offer of employment that includes a three year contract.

Board member Steve Dodge made a motion to approve the hire of Mathew Borkholder to the Knox City Police Department. That motion was seconded by board member Jim Collins and approved unanimously by vote.
