The Knox Board of Public Works heard an update from the Knox City Police Department during their meeting last week.
Knox City Police Deputy Chief Kenny Pfost announced the department responded to 469 calls during the month of January. He stated Brandon Pittman is currently going through the Police Academy and is scheduled to graduate on April 19. He went on to say Harold Smith III is in the final phase of field training and after some final tests, he will be hired on full time.
The Board of Works thanked Chief Deputy Pfost for the report. In a previous story, the board also approved the hire of Mathew Borkholder to the Knox City Police Department.
