Starke and Pulaski County government offices will be open with normal operating hours today.
A celestial event will be visible across the country today, when the moon crosses directly in front of the sun, a total solar eclipse will be seen. Starke County Auditor Rachel Oesterreich told WKVI News, even though some governments are closing, they will not be for the eclipse.
With business needing to be done, both Starke and Pulaski Counties are not in the path of totality. The path of totality is the path traced on the Earth’s surface by the moon’s shadow during a total eclipse of the sun. A partial solar eclipse will be visible across the contiguous United States, so even though Starke and Pulaski Counties are not directly in the path, you should be able to see the partial event, weather permitting.
