The Pulaski County Commissioners opened the second round of bids for the courthouse project during their special session Monday.
In a previous story, Pulaski County Community Development Commission (CDC) Executive Director Nathan Origer announced the first round of bids received for the courthouse project came in about $3.5 million over the county’s budget. The commissioners opened several categories of the project that were put out to re bid on Monday. Origer announced Tonn and Blank Construction is currently reviewing each new bid in effort to make sure everything is correct. He added they should be able to present those results at the next Pulaski County Commissioner meeting.
Origer stated at this time, it looks like the second round of bids brought the overall price of the project anywhere from $300,000 to $400,000 under the county’s budget, He added this project is now within the price range estimated. The Pulaski County Commissioners expect to hear the final results at their next meeting Monday, April 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET at the Pulaski County Highway Garage at 1131 N. U.S. 35 in Winamac.
