The Pulaski County Council discussed a revised wage ordinance for 2023 and the first quarter of 2024 during their meeting Monday.
Pulaski County Auditor Laura Wheeler explained the wage ordinance is usually looked at every month. She stated they conduct wage ordinance revisions for Pulaski County employees that have either met the longevity scale and their wages have changed or they have gone from part-time to full-time or full-time to part-time. She stated in 2023 this was not done. It was noted approval was needed from the council to have 2023 revisions completed and then also for the first quarter of 2024.
Wheeler announced Pulaski County had 58 new hires, 16 re-hires and 58 terminations in 2023. Pulaski County Council President Ken Boswell made a motion to approve the revised wage ordinance for 2023 and the first quarter of 2024. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
