The Knox Board of Public Works opened bids involving the Henry Drive Extension Project during their meeting Wednesday.
The first bid opened came from Rieth Riley with a base bid of $176,217.25. Alternate bids were submitted in the amount of $26,460 for alternate one and $40,000 for alternate two. The second bid received came from J D Excavating with the base bid being $127,180. The first alternate bid from J D Excavating came in at $34,965 and the second came in at $22,000.
A motion was made to take the bids under advisement to allow time for engineer Bob Aloi to look through them and make sure everything is correct. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
