The Pulaski County Council discussed CD renewals during their meeting Monday.
Pulaski County Treasurer Teresa Bryant stated the county has two CDs that will be up for renewal in the coming months. She formally asked the council if they would like to have her renew the CD involving the Cumulative Jail Fund for another six month time frame. She said it is in the amount of $200,000 at this time and will be up for renewal at the end of this month. She went on to say the LIT Economic Development Fund in the amount of $580,000 will also be up for renewal soon. She added she normally does both CDs for a six month time frame but wanted to see what the council would like to have done.
Council President Ken Boswell stated he hasn’t had anything come before him that is needing that money. He stated he believes they should renew both CDs for another six months. He went on to entertain a motion to approve renewing both CDs for another six months. A motion was made and seconded. The council approved renewing both CDs unanimously by vote.
