The Knox City Council discussed the Wythogan Park Splash Pad during their meeting Tuesday.
City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok announced the Splash Pad will be opened and turned on for Memorial Day weekend starting Saturday, May 25. He stated he has received several phone calls from interested residents looking forward to it being open. In a previous Knox Board of Public Works meeting, Knox Water Department Superintendent Tim Lindewald announced his department had been working on the Wythogan Park Splash Pad in preparation for the upcoming season.
Lindewald also announced the water had been turned on at Wythogan Park and restrooms have been open as well.
