The Knox City Council heard an update on the Henry Drive Extension Project during their meeting Tuesday.
In a previous Knox Board of Public Works meeting, the board opened two bids that were received to have the project done. The board accepted the lowest bid received from J D Excavating in the amount of $112,215.
During the council meeting this week, City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok announced the contract has been signed for phase one of the Henry Drive Extension project. He added they are expecting to bid out phase two of the project this fall. It was noted, phase one of the Henry Drive Extension project should be complete by September of this year.
