The Knox City Council discussed a pop-up store ribbon cutting and open house during their meeting last week.
City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok announced a second pop-up store will be opening at 6 North Main Street in Knox. He stated the pop-up store will offer low cost start up fees to small businesses with the hope of giving them a head start in becoming successful. It was noted, this program is designed to attract small businesses and create retail shopping downtown Knox. Business owners will have an opportunity to sell and showcase products and services of interest to area residents and tourists.
Mayor Estok stated the ribbon cutting and open house for the pop-up store is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. CT. He stated applications will be available during the open house as well as online at the city website or by calling the Mayor’s office at 574-772-4553.
It was noted the deadline to apply is Friday, August 9.
