Starke County Highway Superintendent Rachel Oesterreich reminds motorists of construction preparation work going this week.
Oesterreich told WKVI News work will begin this week in preparing, Bridge No. 137 on 300 E. between 50 N. and the Knox Industrial Park for new construction during the spring of 2025. She stated, NIPSCO crews will be relocating one of their lines during this time as well. She added there will be construction flag workers on site today, July 3, to clear a bore path.
On Monday, July 8, Oesterreich stated they will have a lane closure with traffic signals for the remainder of July. She added letting will be sometime early winter later this year.
