The Starke County Commissioners discussed appointing someone to fill a vacant seat on the hospital board during their meeting last week.
Starke County Interim Chief Deputy Auditor Sara Dingman told WKVI News hospital board member Ted Hayes had elected to resign his position. She stated the commissioners were needing to fill the vacant seat for the remainder of the term set to expire at the end of this year. During their meeting last week, commissioner Mark Gourley made a motion to appoint Dr. Thomas Browne to fill the remaining term on the hospital board. That motion was seconded by commissioner Charles Chesak.
The commissioners voted unanimously approving Dr. Browne to the Starke County Hospital Board.
