The Knox City Council heard from the newly hired Executive Director of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation during their meeting Tuesday.
Mikie (Mikey) Stogsdill introduced herself to the council as the new Executive Director. She stated she looks forward to working with the council and would like to meet with them to hear what improvements they see for the city happening. City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok stated the pressure is on and there are a lot of plans the city would like to see done. He added they will be assigning her a project very soon to work on for the city as there has been several months pass without and executive director.
In a follow up, Mayor Estok told WKVI News, the contract the city has with the Starke County Economic Development Foundation is $75,000 per year.
