The Starke County Park Board received a letter of resignation from Kathy Norem recently.
Starke County Deputy Auditor Teresa Trout told WKVI News due to the resignation from Norem a Republican seat is now needed to be filled. She went on to say the county is also still looking to appoint someone to the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission (K-IRPC) Board of Commissioners.
In a previous story, Starke County Auditor Michaelene Houston told WKVI News Brandie Ecker was appointed to the K-IRPC board on July 15 by commissioners and one more seat is still open and available for interested individuals.
Deputy Auditor Trout stated if anyone is interested in being considered for either the park board or K-IRPC board, they are asked to contact the Auditor’s Office at 574-772-9101.
