The Knox City Council announced who will be leasing the second pop-up store during their meeting Tuesday.
As previously reported, the Redevelopment Commission (RDC) does not make the decision on who the city would choose. City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok had previously stated a selection committee was formed to collectively make the decision on which business would be the best fit for the second pop-up store location at 6 North Main Street.
In a previous meeting, Knox City Council President Jeff Berg announced Modern Mercantile, Bianca Rose Florist and Ways to Wellness were the three applications received. On Tuesday, Mayor Estok stated the selection committee chose Bianca Rose Florist as the next business to lease the second pop-up store downtown Knox.
The pop-up store located at 6 North Main Street in Knox offered a low cost start up fee to small businesses with the hope of giving them a head start in becoming successful. This program is designed to attract small businesses and create retail shopping downtown Knox.
