Knox City Council Holds Public Hearing on 2025 Budget

The Knox City Council held a public hearing for the 2025 budget during their meeting Tuesday.

The council opened up the floor for public comment with no comments made. A motion to approve the first reading of the 2025 budget was made. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote. It was then announced the budget adoption is set for Tuesday, September 24 at 6 p.m. CT. at Knox City Hall.

According to the notice on the Indiana Gateway website, the total budget estimate is $4,655,169 with just over $2.7 million in the General Fund, $50,000 in Local Road and Street, $478,000 in the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund, $181,000 in the Park and Recreation Fund, and other special funds as well.
