The Starke County Commissioners discussed an amendment to the salary ordinance during their meeting Tuesday.
Starke County IT Director Stanley Budd formally asked the commissioners to amend the current salary ordinance so that new IT assistant, Luke Cook, can be paid through the end of this year.. He also asked the commissioners to approve issuing a set of keys for Cook to be able to access the building. It was noted the amount of pay needed to finish the year was $14,400 divided by nine pay periods.
Commissioner Mark Gourley made a motion to approve the salary ordinance amendment. That motion was seconded by commissioner Don Binkley and passed unanimously by vote.
