The Starke County Commissioners discussed a lease renewal during their meeting last week.
Starke County Attorney Justin Schramm stated that the lease renewal date for the Zip Thru Mart in Knox is February of 2025. He further stated that they have been given a six months’ notice on when their renewal date will be. He went on to say an outside attorney will be handling the litigation on this particular lease with Zip Thru Mart.
Starke County Auditor Michaelene Houston told WKVI News, she has since spoken with the owner of Zip Thru Mart and that the renewal of the lease has been taken care of. No other information was given at this time. It is expected to be discussed at a future commissioner meeting.
