Starke County Public Library System Awarded a total of $20,000 towards Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program

WKVI recently reported that the Starke County Public Library System was awarded a $2,000 grant by the Starke County Community Foundation’s Ambassadors Club, to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Starke County.

The Starke County Grants Committee, a part of the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, has awarded an additional $18,000 to the library system, for a total of $20,000 towards the Imagination Library.

Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, children from birth to age five will receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail every month. The aim of the program is to help build early literacy skills and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
