LA PORTE, IN – According to an announcement made by the City of La Porte Police Department Sunday morning, on the evening of 09/13/2025, the La Porte Police Department responded to two bomb threats made to local businesses.
Out of an abundance of caution, Walmart was temporarily evacuated and thoroughly cleared before reopening.
The announcement goes on to say that detectives have since determined the source of the calls, and can confirm there is no active threat to the community.
The La Porte Police Department would like to thank the public and their business partners for cooperation during this incident.
