The Starke County Convention and Visitors Commission is pleased to announce grant opportunities are again available to fund upcoming events that promote and encourage conventions, visitors and tourism within Starke County.
This may include, but is not limited to, advertising, promotional activities, trade shows, special events, and recreation. An application is required and funding requests should be limited to $2,000.
This opportunity is expected to be competitive and the decision to fund all or part of the requests will be the sole responsibility of the Starke County CVC Board. Requests for funding operating expenses or salaries will not be considered. Applications close October 31, 2025 and awardees will be notified the week of November 10, 2026. Checks will be sent in February 2026.
This will be the only grant opportunity for 2026. Please plan accordingly.
These funds are available from the Inn Keeper tax which is paid by any person engaged in the business of short term renting of rooms, lodging and accommodations for less than 30 days in Starke County.
