According to an announcement from the Oregon-Davis School Corporation, the schools will be having an E-learning day this upcoming Monday, October 27th.
The purpose of the E-learning day is to allow students, staff, and families the opportunity to attend funeral services for recently deceased student Logan Cooke.
A message from Superintendent Bennett shared that Logan touched the lives of so many school members, and that the E-Learning Day was out of respect for the Cooke family, and in order to allow attendance to services.
Cooke was killed in a single motor vehicle accident this past Sunday, October 19th.
The announcement goes on to state that Oregon Davis students will be able to complete classwork remotely through assignments provided by their teachers, who will be available during normal school hours via e-mail and/or Schoology to assist students as needed.
Counselors are available at Oregon Davis schools for both students and staff who need additional support.
