Winamac Town Council to meet October 13

Winamac will hold a Town Council meeting this evening, October 13th. The meeting will take place at 6pm Eastern Time and will be at the Winamac Utilities Complex, located at 623 West 11th Street in Winamac.

After the meeting is called to order and the pledge of allegiance is recited, there will be a section of the meeting set aside for public input. Two topics that will be brought to this meeting include side-by-sides in town, and traffic concerns.

Under administrative matters, the council will vote to approve items from their September 8th public hearing and regular meeting, as well as the September 30th minutes from both an executive and special session.

The council will vote on claims and vouchers, before receiving reports and updates. Council will hear from the Water and Street Superintendent, the Electric Superintendent, Wastewater, Police, and the Town Manager’s report, including regarding downtown sidewalks.

During the Clerk-Treasurer’s report, they will discuss Ordinance #19, the 2026 Town of Winamac Budget. The WVFD Fire Protection agreement and the introduction of a sewer rate ordinance will also be discussed.

With nothing listed under old or new business, the meeting will be adjourned. The public is invited to attend this meeting.
