
According to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, during the month of November there will be Mobile Food Distributions in La Porte and Starke County.
La Porte County:
- Wednesday November 5th at Lacrosse Apostolic Christian Church, at 508 Mill Street in Lacrosse, from 10am – noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by the Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 150 households.
Starke County:
- Thursday, November 13th at Starke County Fairgrounds, located at 400 Division Street in Hamlet, from 10am to noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by Starke County Community Foundation and the Starke County Health Department, and will serve 200 households.
- Thursday, November 20th at San Pierre Town Park, at 201 Eliza Street in San Pierre, from 10am to noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Northwest Indiana and will serve 200 households.
All of these mobile distribution times are while supplies last, with assorted food items being offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of one box/bag per household.
These distributions are drive-through, which means you should remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive food items. There will be an area available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
Food Bank of Northern Indiana further noted that they will be announcing turkey distribution dates and times this upcoming November 9th.
