Free community Thanksgiving dinner to be held at Beachside Tavern at Bass Lake

KNOX – Local community members will be hosting a free community Thanksgiving Dinner in Knox this month, at Beachside Tavern in Bass Lake.

The dinner will be on Thanksgiving, next Thursday, November 27th, from 2-6pm Central. Attendees may dine in or take out, with limited delivery also available that day. The community is invited to this free Thanksgiving dinner, for ‘delicious food, warm company, and unforgettable memories.’

The announcement states that there is no dress code for this dinner, come as you are. They are also offering free transportation to and from the event, with a form available for those needing transportation.

Beachside Tavern has noted that they will not be open for business that day, but are rather lending their space for the Community Dinner.

At the time of the announcement, the contact person for the dinner, Tiffany Hernandez, noted that they were still in need of some donations for the dinner, including all sides such as green bean casserole, corn or vegetables, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, etc. They are also in need of turkeys, hams, bottled water and other beverages, napkins, plates, and cutlery, as well as roasters or disposable dishes with warmers.

They did note that they have plenty of desserts, and went on to thank those who have made donations and helped.

Those wishing to donate or help, or arrange transportation for those unable to fill out the online form, can reach out to Hernandez at 269-277-0977.
