Knox School Board to meet Monday December 1st

Knox Community School has announced that their next regular school board meeting will take place this upcoming Monday, December 1st. The meeting will be at 6pm Central Time and will take place at the Administrative Office, located at #2 Redskin Trail in Knox.

After the meeting is called to order, the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Mrs. Hazelton’s morning preschool class. Board members will recite the mission statement before adopting the agenda for the meeting. They will also vote on the approval of the minutes from their November 17th regular meeting and November 20th executive session.

The district’s “Champion Moment” will highlight Mrs. Hazelton’s preschool class and recognize staff member Meda Sullivan for her recent Lifetime Educator Excellence Award.

Following the Champion Moment, the Transportation Director will give a department update, and the administrative team will report on district goals.

Public comments on agenda items will be next, before the board moves into the personnel report. The report for this meeting includes three new hires and one resignation.

Under the business section of the agenda, members will review and vote on several items including claims, NEOLA policy updates, administrator contract notifications, and a new two-year teacher collective bargaining agreement. They will also review and vote on salary increases for administrators and directors, an affidavit for payment, a fundraiser request, and the proposed 2026–27 school calendar.

The board will then consider two donations: a $1,000 grant for the elementary applied skills classroom, and a $5,000 gift to the music department.

After public comments on non-agenda items and any comments from board members, the meeting will be adjourned.

The public is invited to attend this meeting.
