The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced a change in location for today’s Mobile Food Distribution for Starke County.
Today’s distribution was originally scheduled to take place at the Starke County Fairgrounds in Hamlet.
Instead, it will now take place at the Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Station. The Fire Station is located at 15 West Indiana Avenue in Hamlet.
This mobile food distribution will begin at 10am and go until noon Central Time, or until supplies last. It’s sponsored by the Starke County Community Foundation and the Starke County Health Department, and will serve 200 households. This is a regular mobile food pantry distribution and not a ‘Turkeys on the Table’ event.
This distribution offers assorted food items free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged, and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of one box/bag per household.
This event is drive-through, which means you should remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive food items. There will be an area available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
