The Starke County Historical Society’s Annual Meeting and Election has been rescheduled.
The original meeting was scheduled to take place on November 10th, when a snow storm that came through the area caused many cancellations due to travel concerns; including this annual meeting for the Starke County Historical Society.
The meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd. It will now be held in the fellowship hall of the Knox Methodist Church, which is located at 201 South Shield Street in Knox. The announcement states that the main door is on the south side of the building, with handicapped parking by the railing immediately across from the main doors. There are steps inside down to the fellowship hall.
Doors will open for the meeting at 6pm Central Time, with the carry-in dinner scheduled to being at 6:30. The Historical Society will supply fried chicken, and ask that attendees bring a side dish to share with other attendees.
The business meeting will begin at 7pm Central Time. Immediately following the business portion of the meeting, the program about the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant will be presented by guest speaker Bruce Johnson.
The community is invited to attend this meeting.
