Discover the Outdoors program sees Hoosier students explore nature

Indiana Department of Natural Resources recently shared information about a student program called Discover the Outdoors; stating that due to the program over 5,600 students across the state will get to experience an educational field trip to an Indiana State Park during the 2025-2026 school year.

Discover the Outdoors is part of the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation, the official non-profit of the Indiana DNR. Discover the Outdoors gives youth an opportunity to explore and enjoy nature, in a partnership with Indiana State Parks.

Discover the Outdoors has served over 30,000 Indiana students since its inception in 2017. Grant applications for Discover the Outdoors are available online and are accepted from March 15th through April 30th each year for trips taking place in the upcoming academic year.
