Food Bank of Northern Indiana announces Mobile Food Distribution dates and locations for December

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced their Mobile Food Distribution locations for December 2025, including but not limited to locations in La Porte and Starke Counties.

In La Porte County, there will be mobile food distributions:

Wednesday December 3rd at Marquette Mall, 201 West US 20 in Michigan City, from 10am – noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 375 households.

Wednesday December 17th at Prairie Meadow Park, located at 199 Flynn Road in Westville, from 10am to noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 150 households.

In Starke County, there will be mobile food distributions:

Thursday December 4th at the James R. Hardesty Hamlet/Davis Township Fire Station and Community Center, located at 15 West Indiana Avenue in Hamlet, from 10am to noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by the Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund through the Starke County Community Foundation and the Starke County Health Department, and will serve 200 households.

Friday December 12th at the San Pierre Fire Department, located at 102 Fisher Street in San Pierre, from 10am to noon Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by the Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund through the Starke County Community Foundation and the Starke County Health Department and will serve 200 households.

Monday December 15th at the Knox United Methodist Church, located at 201 South Shield Street in Knox, from 9am to 10:30am Central Time. This distribution is sponsored by USDA and will serve 150 households.

Tuesday, December 30th at Heartland Church located at 6020 South, 300 East in Knox from 9am to 10:30am. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Northwest Indiana and will serve 200 households.

Assorted food items offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. First come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box/bag per household. Distributions are drive through. Please remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
