
INDIANA – As Christmas approaches, there have been multiple local announcements regarding meals and holiday food box giveaways that are available for those wishing to celebrate the holidays with fellow community members, or those needing a bit of extra help this time of year.
This morning in Michigan City, free holiday food boxes will be distributed by Fedder’s Alley in Washington Park from 9-11am Central Time. The boxes include hams and all the sides and fixings to host a holiday meal. They will be distributed until supplies run out.
According to an announcement by 10-56 Brewing in Knox, they will be hosting a free community buffet tomorrow; December 24th for Christmas eve. The buffet will take place from noon to 3:30pm Central Time. 10-56 Brewing is located off of Highway 35 in Knox.
Additionally, the day after Christmas, on December 26th, the Bass Lake California Township Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a free community Christmas dinner. This dinner will take place from 3-6pm at the Bass Lake Fire Department, located at 7225 South Highway 35 near Bass Lake.
