
The Starke County Republican Party has announced the call of a Political Party Caucus to fill the remaining term of Starke County Recorder.
In an online announcement made on Friday, the Starke County Republican Party expressed gratitude to resigning Starke County Recorder Mandy Thomason for her years of service as the Starke County Recorder.
The announcement states that the caucus will take place this upcoming December 30th at 7pm Central Time, and will be held at the Washington Township Community Center, which is located at 20 North on Highway 23 in Knox. The purpose of the caucus is to fill the vacancy of Starke County Recorder, which is a term that will end on December 31st 2026.
Eligible Republicans interested in filling the remainder of the term have until this Friday, December 26th at 4pm Central Time to file their intent with the Starke County Clerk’s Office.
The announcement states that the caucus will be a closed meeting to Precint and Vice Precinct Committee Members. Any candidates who have filed intent for consideration are allowed two representatives of their choice to be in attendance; and should be disclosed to the Chairman or Vice Chair by noon Central time on Monday, December 29th.
