The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced two Mobile Food Distributions for the month of January, both of which will take place in La Porte County.
Tomorrow, Wednesday January 7th, from 10am to noon Central Time, there will be a mobile distribution at the La Porte County Fairgrounds, located at 2581 State Road 2 in La Porte.
On Wednesday, January 21st, there will be another mobile food distribution event at the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church on US Highway 20 in Rolling Prairie, from 10am to noon Central Time.
Both events are first come first served, one box per family, and while supplies last; tomorrow’s event at the fairground will serve 300 households, and the January 21st event will serve 150 households.
At the mobile food distributions, recipients can expect assorted food items that come pre-boxed and pre-bagged. These are drive-through distributions, so participants should remain in their vehicles and open trunks to receive items. There will be an area available for self-loading if your trunk doesn’t open.
Both of these mobile distribution events are sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless.
