The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association has announced that nominations are now open for the 2026 Influential Women Awards.
This awards program honors the accomplishments and dedication of women across several vital industries in the region, and this year will be its 15th year.
Nominees will be recognized during an annual banquet and awards ceremony for their impactful contributions to their communities and career fields.
Nominations may be made by individuals themselves, or from members of the public on someone’s behalf. Companies may also submit nominations for women within their organizations.
Nominations can be made by visiting nwiiwa.org, and must be made by February 16th.
Last year, several women from Starke County were nominated finalists; including Dru Downen from Famous Athletics, Gina Bachmeier from RENEW U Massage Wellness and Spa, Anita Goodan from Kankakee Valley Broadcasting, Irene Szakonyi from the Starke County Youth Club, and Jacque Ryan from the Starke County Community Foundation.
